As we go through our day, we are often attacked on so many sides by the vicissitudes of life that have to be addressed. Some things have to be taken care of immediately, others can wait. Learning to make the proper priorities is one of life’s necessary survival skills.
While our ancestor’s may have had to hunt for their daily meals, we have had to learn to hunt in a different way. Everyone is on the hunt for better income, better lifestyle and better things. However, there are some who have learned to hunt for a special kind of prey. We should learn how to hunt for that place of peace.
Proverbs tells us that we should…
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding”. – Pro_3:5
Learning to Trust God for our future is not easy when we first begin. When we first begin, we have to be mindful that we are switching systems. When we first receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are translated from the kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of Light.
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: .” – Col 1:13
The kingdom of Darkness is devoid of trust. It is selfish, cruel, full of jealousies, pride and vain competitions. It is full of a thousand other negative adjectives that we could easily use which would all be equally accurate. The system for success in the kingdom of Darkness is not the same as the system for success in the Kingdom of Light.
One of the first things that we need to learn and understand as a new creation in Christ is that Jesus Christ is Lord. And if we really have internalized and understand that concept, we begin to realize that there is NOTHING outside of His purview, His Power or His Reach. And if we truly understand that we belong to Him, then we must also know that He has given us exceedingly precious promises in His Word of how He will take care of us.
And if that is the case, logically speaking, then we know that He is honored bound by His Word to do as He said He would do. So, it now becomes our responsibility to learn to trust Him to do what He said He would do. It is His Word and His Honor versus our trust.
Settle yourself that His Word is Truth. Settle yourself that you can trust in Him. Learn to hunt for the place of peace. Learn to hunt down the prey called ‘Trust’. The prey of Trust can be found when you learn how to pray.
Our prayer for you is that you will make it a priority to believe God and receive the ‘Peace that passes all understanding’. We pray that you learn to trust in the Lord in a new way. That His Love and Faithfulness will surround you. That you will feel His Compassion in a new and tangible way.
We encourage you to learn to hunt the proper priorities. Learn to hunt for the ‘pray’ that will make a difference in your life.
“…. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” – Jas 5:16
