Jesus’ Word should be the vision for our lives! The Word is a restraint to keep us on tract walking in the divine will of God. Where there is no vision (no revelation of God and His Word), the people are unrestrained; but happy and blessed is he who keeps the law (of God) Proverbs 29:18. God’s Word also states in Matthew 7:13-14 AMP: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to (everlasting) life, and there are few who find it. A Tree and Its Fruit.”
In these troubling times, we need to have the word of God inside us to counter any attacks the enemy brings against us. His Word, The Blood, and the Name of Jesus is what will stand against anything the enemy throws at us. You must have a sure foundation of establishing yourself in Gods’ Word, His Will, and His way.
We will list six points to pattern yourself after.
Point 1: God’s Word and His ways must be our foundation
1 Cor. 3:11 Amp: For no one can lay a foundation
Other than the one which is (already) laid, which
is Jesus Christ.
Point 2: God’s Word must be our absolute authority
2 Timothy 3:16 Amp: All scripture is God-breathed
(given by divine inspiration) and is profitable
for instruction, for conviction (of sin), for correction
(of error and restoration to obedience), for training
in righteousness (learning to live in conformity
to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving
honorably with personal integrity and moral courage)
Point 3: We must have a willingness to submit to God’s authority
Are you willing to go in the direction the Lord is leading you?
Are you willing to deny yourself, willing to give more and
go the extra mile, give of your time etc…? To
position yourself to be blessed or are you going to be
out and out rebellious.
John 10:10 Amp: The thief comes only in order to steal
and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and
enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till
it overflows).
Point 4: Disobedience and idolatry
Isaiah 1:19 Amp: “If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the best of the land;
Self-idolatry is when you are more concerned of
what you are going to wear, what shoes, and jewelry to
a church convocation and nothing is said about the Word of God.
The whole focus is on you. God is not happy with that mindset.
Point 5: To be in the kingdom of God-you must be born again
You must study the word of God and have a relationship with
The Lord Jesus. Jesus brings direction to us in His Word.
Meditate on His Word, speak the Word out loud, declare and
decree it. He’ll give you direction daily if you seek Him.
Point 6: Matthew 6:33: “But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after)
His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right—
The attitude and character of God), and all these things will be given
to you also. Amp. Bible
Everything God does is in divine order and His Anointing flows down from Him to us. We encourage you to take the time to seek God and understand His Word. Internalize His Word and eat it like the sweet Bread and honey it is. It will nourish you and cause you to become healthy.
